According to GFAR’s principles of subsidiarity and decentralisation, EGFAR aims to realize improved access to relevant information resources of its stakeholders and partners.
We invite our stakeholders to collaborate with us in order to integrate information resources and work on information exchange solutions.
In our Webring organizations databases page you have access to:

1) our GFAR Institutions database, including the subset on Farmers' Organizations called FODABASE
2) the FAO NARS database, fully searchable. Thanks to the collaboration with FAO NRRR Division, all records from the FAO NARS database of organizations are available.
3) the WISARD database of organizations (filtered by country). Thanks to the collaboration with Wageningen International, all records from the WISARD database of organizations are available if you search by country.
4) the EARD-InfoSys+ Institutions database (filtered by country, only for european countries). Thanks to the collaboration with EARD-InfoSys+, additional results are available for countries in the european region. If you select a european country in the search form, in the results page you will also find records from EARD-InfoSys+
The following steps will be:
- improving search options on external databases (Wisard, Infosys);
- adding access to new external databases;
- providing XML exports of both the GFAR database and the FAO NARS database.
XML exports of the GFAR database, in the Agricultural Organizations Application Profile (Ag Org AP), are already available for each region:
Asia and the Pacific
Central Asia and the Caucasus
Europe
Latin America and the Caribbean
Sub-saharan Africa
West Asia and North Africa
A full export of the database is also available here.
GFAR is actively working with partner organizations on initiatives and projects promoting and implementing coherence in agricultural information. This process will hopefully allow us to present more comprehensive and integrated information on this website.
